Chris Evans’ CarFest North and CarFest South are back on again in 2013 with much motoring madness and a great day out for all the family. So much success in 2012 meant CarFest for 2013 was a given, and now we know that both outings are back once again this year with even more on offer than in 2012, and running over 3 days instead of two. Just like last year, CarFest South will take place at Laverstoke Park Farm - Jody Scheckter’s home – with an even bigger hillclimb and three evenings of live music, masses of food choices and, of course, cars galore.
Honda is calling the S660 a concept, but when company president Takanobu Ito took to the stage at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, one of the first things he did was confirm this exciting new small sports car – the spiritual successor to the Honda Beat – will be going into production in 2015. This is great news for Honda, and Ito-san acknowledged a next-generation small sports car has been long awaited by Honda fans, who’ve had little excitement to cheer about since the last Civic Type R and the S2000 roadster were stripped from the model line up. Is this a Toyota GT 86 four-door saloon? There has been talk for some time that Toyota are going to stretch the GT 86 by 4″, add a couple of back doors and turn it in to a four-door coupe. And that’s exactly what the organisers of the Dubai International Motor Show – which starts tomorrow – are claiming on their Facebook page, together with a photo (above) which seems to show a four-door GT 86.
